From Antalya to Kaş: Route and Rest-Stop Suggestions

Kaş is a laid-back town west of Antalya, known for its bohemian streets and turquoise coves. The journey from the airport takes roughly 2.5-3 hours, but since the route follows one of Turkey's most beautiful coastal roads, the drive itself feels like part of the holiday.

How the route unfolds

After passing Antalya's city centre, the road continues along the coast through Kemer. It then enters winding sections where mountain and sea views intertwine, passing Finike and Demre before reaching Kaş. Open viewpoints over the sea appear again and again along the way.

Where to take a break

On a drive of around three hours, at least one stop adds real comfort. Demre, with the ruins of ancient Myra and the Church of St. Nicholas, makes an ideal short stop. Around Finike there are seaside facilities. On a private transfer you can agree the break point with the driver, a flexibility that families with children value in particular.

Preparing for the journey

Passengers prone to motion sickness may want to keep remedies at hand for the winding sections. Water and light snacks make the ride more pleasant. In summer, setting off in the morning or late afternoon rather than the midday heat makes for a nicer trip. And if you travel in daylight, do not forget to enjoy the views.
